Learning ontopsychological edagogy in the initial training of a pedagogue and a special education teacher

In this article, we elucidate the learning acquired by two trainee academics through the studies conducted in the Ontopsychological Pedagogy research group. Ontopsychology is a scientific approach that begins with the understanding of the Being, the principle that underlies the human being. Although this approach is not studied during the courses of teacher training programs, it has provided relevant contributions to our formation and future professional practice. The study was built through an experience report that critically analyzed the journey lived, highlighting the main elements that significantly contributed to our training. This pedagogical approach allows for a deeper understanding of the formation of the human being, how it is influenced, and what drives its actions. These insights enable us to put our studies into practice, enhancing the strength of our professional qualification, as it equips us to help children address the real causes of their problems. Through our studies, we have come to recognize the importance of developing a pedagogy of the self, that is, promoting self-development based on the founding principle of humanity, the Being, both in the immersion of pedagogical practices and in personal development.
