The multidisciplinary team of SEaD/FURG in the context of FURG distance education

This paper aims to present how the Multidisciplinary Team in Distance Education was formed, in the context of the Secretariat of Distance Education - SEaD, at the Federal University of Rio Grande - FURG. We will also discuss how the Multidisciplinary Team supports the strategies for institutionalizing Distance Education at the University, through the development of actions and the construction of policies. In order to elucidate the trajectory followed, we will present the history of Distance Education at FURG related to the development of distance courses, since this movement strengthened the sense of team and collectivity, in addition to helping to promote feelings such as affection, sensitivity, creativity, companionship, empathy and solidarity. To keep up with this changing world, Distance Education has been conquering its space as a new paradigm in education and, in order to understand and improve this modality, we need to discuss the best strategies and pedagogical possibilities, prioritizing the quality of teaching.
