This article will analyze the role of dialogue as a mechanism for changing social reality through the use of Pedagogical Letters, an instrument developed by Paulo Freire for recording facts and experiences, accompanied by a critical analysis and an invitation to dialogue between interlocutors. When communicating, the author sought it with intentionality, moving away from any form of oppression, firmly believing that the individual was not possible to exist to be the object of another subject. For a society to function collectively, it is necessary that everyone can be understood. Therefore, the general objective of the research is to understand Freire's concept of dialogicity in the transformation of social reality through Freire's Pedagogical Letters. To develop this article, a qualitative approach was used to analyze the data, with a deductive character, through bibliographic and documentary research techniques. The results obtained demonstrate that the first stage to obtain the transformation of social reality is self-awareness combined with the existence of a meaningful praxis. But, when the individual finally identifies himself as an incomplete and inconclusive subject, he obtains new knowledge through listening to the other. Thus, writing Pedagogical Letters contributes to the construction of knowledge and proposes this exchange with others, offering provocations of social indignation, and leading to new changes and questions.
