The article in question leads to a discussion about the revolutionary role of micro-narratives in the face of a monumental and linear history, from which the narratives of indigenous peoples, such as the Pataxó of the Comexatibá territory, have been excluded. To materialize this task, the life story of Jovita Maria de Oliveira, elder and shaman pataxó, will be analyzed, addressing important aspects of the multiplicities present in this story, the result of a long history of intercultural relations necessary to the process of survival and resistance to the extermination projects carried out by various agents, with the support or complicity of the State. The capacity of this story to bring together different temporalities will be of particular importance in the process of analysis, as it brings together the past and the future in an attentive and active present, resulting in that openness to think the relationship with others and the world under other rationalities, which are not those of the West. For this, will appear as theoretical contribution the following elements: Walter Benjamin (2012); Joel Candau (2018); Michel Foucault (2010); Leda Maria Martins (1997); Daniel Munduruku (2012), among other inspirations.
