A Ponte da Amizade selando as relações Brasil-Paraguai

Este trabalho visa compreender melhor as relações internacionais entre os governos do Brasil e do Paraguai, a partir da década 50 com a ascensão do general Stroessner ao governo do Paraguai, via golpe de Estado, e a consolidação de novas diretrizes do Estado em relação aos seus vizinhos no Cone Sul, em particular ao Brasil. A construção da Ponte Internacional da Amizade, símbolo da geopolítica brasileira e paraguaia, materializou as intenções políticas, econômicas, sociais e culturais do Brasil e do Paraguai, e ao mesmo tempo, trouxe dúvidas, questionamentos, resistências e críticas.
