The use of social network Facebook in the classroom

The present study arises from a questioning made by a student of the 6th grade of the elementary school in class. As we know, the information and communication technologies (TIC) are increasingly presents in our lives, including in the classroom. To sustain our arguments, in face of the presented situation, we will use Pretto e Assis (2008) to reference about the digital culture, Recuerdo (2014) that address on the social network Facebook e Pretto (2010) about the collaborative networks. This work has the following structure, digital culture, social network Facebook, teacher's posture on the above subject, why his astonishment and how this tool can help in planning their teaching, beyond considerations.
