Museu estadual do carvão:
a place of multiple pedagogical possibilities

Through educational actions, the aim is to train individuals for life and, for this, it is essential that during their training they have contact and experiences with the world and its culture. These allow him to appropriate different cultures and also reproduce his culture and knowledge, better understanding himself and others. This work deals with culture, appropriation of heritage and comprehensive training and aimed to understand how cultural spaces can be educational potential for teaching and learning processes that occur in the school context. For this, a bibliographical research was carried out about theorizations about the concept of museums and about the State Coal Museum. Also, a survey was carried out in which a project was developed, developed along with the teaching internship, proposing educational actions to be carried out in the school that integrated the museum and the school curriculum. The result of this research shows the potential of activities in the classroom that add the historical and cultural contexts of the researched space and its consequences in the curricular components.
