The importance of the management of digital archives for the historical documents preservation.

This study has the objective to point the relevance of mechanisms that do the management of digitalized archives, contributing to the preservation of historical documents that are stored in the Historical and Geographical Institute of Jaguarão (IHGJ). Disseminate the knowledge through the digital Medias, preserving and providing the access to historical sources to contribute to the formation of the local memory and local identity as a base of storage through digital libraries.
