A representação da mulher nas músicas de Chico Buarque de Hollanda

At a time when the female place in society is widely discussed, this article intends to analyze the role of women in Chico Buarque's lyrics, characterized by techniques and constructions of the literary universe and impregnated with reflections on society and its complexities. The study seeks to understand the transformations in the female representations in their songs and their relationship with the various moments throughout the Brazilian military dictatorship (1964-1985). For this, without intending to exhaust the discussion, some of the author's songs were selected to be analyzed and interpreted from the literature related to the theme, especially the works of Marcos Napolitano, Ana Maria Clark Peres and Adélia Bezerra de Meneses. From the analysis of the texts of some of the composer's songs during the dictatorship period, it was sought, based on bibliographic research and content analysis, to identify the change in the role of women throughout the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
