This article addresses a double focus on care practices, particularly marked by the COVID-19 pandemic and neoliberalism. First, we analyze the invisibility of the work of reproduction of life and health that falls particularly on Black women and marginalized groups. Second, we explore the possibilities of containment and strategies for collectivizing care in the face of the increasing neoliberal individualism. We argue that by considering the notion of care for oneself and others as a platform for a more just and equitable society, new endeavors in science, technology, and health can emerge that serve to emancipate historically subalternized bodies.
