Educação Ambiental nos lugares urbanos e turísticos - o pertencimento e a valorização do ambiente

Este artigo é um estudo oriundo do Projeto de Ação em Educação Ambiental – EA – que mostra as ações de EA em fusão com o turismo na busca principal pelo despertar do sentimento de pertencimento da comunidade de Osório, RS. Ele se insere nas correntes de EA conservacionista, crítica e práxica, no âmbito da educação ambiental formal, não-formal e informal, levando alunos de uma escola de periferia da cidade para realizar um roteiro turístico com enfoque em ações de cuidado com o meio ambiente. As ações buscaram compreender o porquê da falta de sentimento de pertencimento da comunidade local aos lugares urbanos e turísticos da cidade e confrontar o cuidar do meio ambiente com o progresso. Além disso, enfatizam a importância de valorizar o patrimônio material e imaterial.
