Este ensaio teórico, com sua abordagem reflexiva e interpretativa, visa contribuir sobre mulheres empreendedoras em condições de vulnerabilidade social com base na literatura acadêmica a partir da teoria feminista pós-estruturalista. O estudo mostra que as mulheres empreendedoras em condições de vulnerabilidade social apresentam, dentre outras barreiras: o preconceito de gênero e violência de gênero e as dificuldades no aporte de recursos humanos, financeiros e materiais ao negócio empreendedor. Dentre as formas de superação de tais barreiras, a literatura reconhece a necessidade de uma rede de apoio enquanto forma de estabelecer perante à comunidade, oferta de programas de qualificações para a formação técnica e profissional; acesso aos recursos necessários para o negócio e, ainda, a elaboração e implementação de programas e políticas públicas que ofereçam subsídios para a gestão de seus negócios adequados às necessidades reais das mulheres de baixa renda.
